Senate Concurrent Resolution #65
Autism Education Task Force
In June of 2014 year, our general assembly passed a resolution that created an Autism Education Task Force. This task force was formed in response to the need to find funding for a state wide Autism Resource Center as well as funding for Educational Technical Assistance Teams (ETA Teams). These teams would consist of autism experts who would provide training for teachers and school administrators regarding best ways to educate our students who have an ASD classification.
The next meeting of this task force is scheduled for March 10, 2015. It will be held in Dover at Legislative Hall, 2nd floor hearing room, from 10am-12pm. The meetings are open to the public, and we encourage interested community members to attend. Time is given at the end of each meeting for public comments, so don't miss this opportunity to have your voice heard.
