Assistant Director of Community Living and Adult Services
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate person to join our team. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director of Adult Services to oversee and manage all aspects of community living programs and services. This position requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for our participants
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in developing, implementing, and evaluating community living programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with staff members to create engaging and enriching activities that promote community integration and participants' well-being.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and community living and support services standards.
- Supervise and mentor community living staff, providing guidance and support to maintain a high level of service delivery.
- Oversee the intake process for new supported living participants, conducting assessments and developing personalized care plans.
- Monitor participant satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly to maintain a positive service experience.
- Coordinate with external agencies, healthcare providers, and community partners to enhance participants' access to services and resources.
- Participate in budget planning and financial management for community living programs.
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and trends, implementing innovative approaches to enhance services continually.
- Assist in resolving conflicts and mediating issues that may arise
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure a knowledgeable and motivated team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the community living or assisted living industry.
- Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by adults with autism in community settings.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect and build relationships with participants, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
- Demonstrated organizational and time-management abilities.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to service delivery.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
